Inner Mongolia’s participation in the 2022 Netherlands International Horticultural Expo On-line Opening Ceremony Brings Another color to the event.
At the invitation of the Dutch government and with the approval of the State Council, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration represented China at the World Horticultural Exposition in the Netherlands, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade was the designated official representative representing the country at the work of the International Exhibition Bureau. Approved by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People’s Government and confirmed by the organizing committee of China’s participation in the 2022 Netherlands International Horticultural Exposition, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will host the “Inner Mongolia Activity Week” of the Netherlands International Horticultural Exposition online from August 3rd to 6th.
Affected by the global epidemic, the Inner Mongolia Activity Week of the Netherlands International Horticultural Exposition was held in Hohhot with online activities as the main venue and online and offline activities as a combination. It was a “cloud” gathering with overseas guests and audiences to discuss and cooperate. On the afternoon of August 3rd at 16: 00, “ Inner Mongolia Activity Week “kicked off with a wonderful song and dance performance. The opening ceremony was attended by the Organizing Committee of the China International Horticultural Exposition, the Organizing Committee of the Netherlands International Horticultural Exposition, the leaders of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Flower Association, the counsellor of the Netherlands in China, and well-known figures from the Dutch business community. At the opening ceremony, the Inner Mongolia promotional video was broadcast, introducing the magnificent natural beauty, rich cultural history and the development status of green diversified industries in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and entering the “China Bamboo Garden” of the World Horticultural Exposition in the Netherlands, leading the audience to experience the unique Chinese garden landscape and displaying a three-dimensional Chinese painting of “flowers and bamboos grow together and enjoy the beauty and landscape”.
In addition, the large-scale stage play “The Legend of Marco Polo” was broadcast online. Through what Marco Polo saw and heard on his way to China and explored China, he described the majestic scenery across Eurasia, showed China’s far-reaching and prosperous history and culture, embodied the ancient “Silk Road” as a bridge to break the geographical barrier and connect China and Europe, showed the long-standing Sino-European friendship, and depicted human’s yearning and pursuit for peace and love.

Following the opening ceremony of the “Inner Mongolia Week” of the World Horticultural Expo 2022 in Almere, the Netherlands on August 3rd, enterprises from Inner Mongolia and the Netherlands had an efficient matchmaking.
On the afternoon of August 4, “Inner Mongolia Week” launched the China-EU economic and trade matchmaking and negotiation activities. At that time, green innovation and high-quality characteristic enterprises from Inner Mongolia district carried out economic and trade promotion, showing the style of high-tech enterprises with inner Mongolia characteristics; A total of more than 30 enterprises from Inner Mongolia and more than a dozen countries in the European Union have conducted more than 40 online one-to-one, one-to-many accurate key negotiations and communications, such as: RIDDER Group ranked 9th in the List of Top 100 Dutch Horticultural Enterprises Hillenraad, becoming the top and most potential equipment suppliers, building an economic and trade exchange and cooperation platform for Inner Mongolia and the EU.
At the promotion meeting, a propaganda video on the industrial development of Inner Mongolia was also played, which fully demonstrated the characteristics and achievements of the economic and social development of Inner Mongolia and reflected the vigorous and upward spirit of Inner Mongolia. Build a bridge for the establishment of deeper and closer cooperation and exchanges between Inner Mongolia and the EU, and help the export-oriented economic development of Inner Mongolia.
From August 5th to 6th, Ordos City and Alxa League in Inner Mongolia will hold “Ordos City Activity Day” and “Alxa League Activity Day”. The relevant leaders of the League attended the event and promoted the situation of the League, representatives of the International Trade and Investment Centre (ITIC) of the Netherlands and the British Scottish Chamber of Commerce attended the event online and delivered speeches. The event set up a display stage for the industry of the league city, promoted the local high-tech, green environmental protection, food and health industries, and matched local European enterprises to carry out one-to-one, one-to-many economic and trade exchanges and negotiation activities.
In addition, it also shows the scenic and cultural characteristics and urban development of the two places by showing the propaganda video of the the cultural and tourism video of the city and league, and promotes the exchange and cooperation as well as reciprocal communication between Inner Mongolia enterprises and Dutch and even European enterprises..
